Scholarships to residents of Greensboro, NC, to attend schools in NC.
Over the last 5 years the foundation has awarded 291 grants to 135 organizations totaling $13,714,622. Past awardees include: Canterbury School, Children's Home Society of North Carolina, Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, and Davidson College.
The Edward M. Armfield, Sr. Foundation was established in 2000 in North Carolina. The foundation does not maintain a website. Please contact the foundation to verify eligibility prior to submission of a full application. Funds may be used for the following purposes:
Giving primarily is limited to non profit organizations in North Carolina with emphasis on Guilford, Randolph and Surry counties.
Applications are to be submitted by June 15 and October 1, annually. Initial approach should be by contacting the foundation by telephone to request an application form.
Awards vary based on scope and size of project. Awards are up to $500,000. Most awards are less than $25,000.
